Here's a fun fact about Hawaii. To purchase a handgun here, you have to have proof of an accepted form of training. NRA classes, with an additional section on Hawaii state laws, qualify. Military service, with supporting documentation from your CO, qualifies. And attending a Hawaii State DLNR Hunting Safety class qualifies.

What makes this a fun fact?

In the Hunting Safety class, you spend 2 1/2 days in their classroom..... AND NEVER TOUCH A GUN!
